Canadian Grand Prix

Anyone going to Montreal for the Formula 1 race in June?
I know as much as I dislike Ecclestone and after the USGP last year I said I would never watch another Formula 1 race,
I have given in and I will be attending the race lol, Have to pull for my Mclarens, Still looking for a hotel within decent distance to the track and St. catherines street,

anyone have any reccomendations?
anyone attending?

Yes... all set! You will want to start looking for a room right away. I would try the Hyatt downtown, close to everything. You will not be able to find anything downtown for under $250 a night just to let you know.

Yeah, the USGP sucked bad! Will this be your first F1 race?

I've been once and I'm thinking of going this year. My buddy from Toronto (went to Bschool in Montreal) suggests that to B&B's are the cheapest way to go.

Montreal is one of the coolest cities in North America...

I was trying to make the trip this year but it's not looking promising.

Without a doubt! Very fun city, especially GP weekend. Huge, fast indoor go-cart up there track as well!

I went back in 2002, it was the first time for me and Motreal...I had the best time!
Downtown basically turned into a huge block party. Canadians know how to party and the women where beautiful...awsome city!

I am planning to return for this years GP and I can't wait!

Some 02 pics...

A friend of mine found a realy cool/ cheap place to stay right in the middle of the city. It is actually student housing for one of the universities (forgot which one) and only costs about $20 a night per person. Each one of these apartments has a total of 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 living rooms/ sitting areas, and one kitchen. It is pretty spartan (afterall it is student housing) but everything is super clean and its realy close to the subways. I can try to find the name of the place if anyone is interested. Just let me know...

BTW where is everyone sitting? Ill be in grandstand 12.

oh yea and KIMI for the win!!!

Winston.... did you take your pics on Thursday morning, at the pit walk? I want to do that this year! How did you go about getting in there? Just show up at the track early? From what I can remember, about anyone can go through.

Grandstand 11 here - mid way up, to the right side.
