SCCA T2 - Air Bag Disabled?
Dr. Evo asked a similar question nearly 2 years ago, but I never saw an adequate answer so have we learned a better/easier way since then?
----------------------------------------------------
Has anyone disabled or know how to disable there airbags?
I'm helping on the prep of an '06 Evo for SCCA Touring 2 and one of the requirements is disabling or removal of airbags. I do understand that this is not street legal, but still would like to know.
Is there a fuse or something easily accesible that we could pull when running at the events and then reinstall it for the street?
Thanks, CJ

Totally digging this up, but I know the answer! There's a clip you can unplug actually. If you take the bottom right part of the steering wheel back covering off (insert a flat head screw driver into the opening and just pry a little) it'll come right off. Then you can see a yellow clip. That's the airbag. The black connection is the horn.
I'm not even concered with posting an old thread like this, but how in the hell did you find a thread this freaking old? I bet Noize couldn't even find a thread like this lol.
I put up a thread in the How-To section about it instead: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...eployment.html

I figured it out about 3 years ago, but glad you have archived the answer for others.
