suspension question, cost VS quality

Ok, heres my question. What coilover set is a good quality but for a good price.
Something that doesnt make any noise, or has any history of issues with the Evo VIII?

you really need to search on this one like a trillion threads on this same matter. to somewhat answer your question though, i just installed a set of the helix rna's "dna" and i like them. i would say worth the money considering its only a little more over a set of good springs, if there is such a thing???

call gruppe-s pretty good guys over there, always had good experiences with them!

Everyone has their opinion on suspension, but...what is a good price to you...for me it was the KW V3's (@ $1600). Throw out a number (your good price) and you will get more replies. Also, what do you plan on doing...d/d, autocross, track, show...etc?

Well, the only thing to do around here is street race and drag.
The set I was looking at was the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC Coil-Over Damper Kit from racinglab.com

http://www.racinglab.com/mi03laevo8cs.html

Or the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S Type II Coil-Over Damper Kit

http://www.racinglab.com/mi03laevo8su.html

But I dont think I need anything too complicated really, so the S-OC was my primary research.

If those are your two choices, I would pick the second, as it is adjustable. Four ways are better than none. For the price, look around, as you might find a little more adjustability...here's Speed Element's site... http://www.speedelement.com/index.ph...0&limitstart=0 . Tell them Dennis sent you...or ask any vendor for that matter. I just happen to be in an area that has Fantastic vendor support…Speed Element, GST and a few others.
What about autocrossing in your area??? SCCA, X-NASA, or BMW club. Street racing now-a-days is completely stupid, and in most cases illegal. It's a felony in Cali now and definitely not worth it. I'm sure you if search for a certain brand name, you will find a review of some sorts on it. Hope this helps and g/l.

If you are expecting to put on stiffer springs, stiffer shocks, and spherical bearings (usually) on the upper mounts and not get some more noises over stock, you are in for a surprise if you go aftermarket on your suspension.

Do not worry about if they make noises or not. When buying a performance part, base your decision on performance. Set a budget, and if what you want doesn't fit in your budget, please don't cheap out.

There's definitely more to do than street racing or drag in Orlando. You're in the middle of Florida with road courses and lots of autocrossing available.

Yes, Megan's are the best bang for the buck in coilover suspension for anyone who daily drives their Evo in my opinion. Yes, I do carry them, but it's really not a sales pitch. For well under $1k, they can't be beat dollar for dollar.

If it's just street use, why do you want coilovers?
