Out of curiousity, exactly what is involved in installed the stock scuff plates? I was thinking about buying some off ebay or something, but I don't want to have to drill holes into my car or anything like that. Do they just sit there latch onto the ledge?

 

I think its just stick the 3M auto tape and line it up. I am buying some from mitsubishiparts.com. They are 77$. On ebay they are close to 100.

 

Yea I installed them on my car. It comes with instructions on how to install. You just need degreeser and shop towels. Be careful to unglue the stickers in the specified order though. I made that mistake and wasn't able to take out half of a sticker on a scuff plate. I got them from mitsubishipartspeople.com , I think it's the same price as mitsubishiparts.com.

 

There are some nice aluminum customs (waterjet) out there too for this year, on ebay. Saw some for 99 bucks for a set of 4 plates with 3m tape.
