So is anyone tuning for occasional track use?

I see a lot of emphasis on peak numbers on this forum, which is fine, but are any vendors here proficient in tuning the stock ECU for occasional track days?
Personally, if and when I eventually get my car tuned, I want something conservative that won't cause knock or the engine to run lean under sustained high RPM usage.
I appreciate feedback from the vendors, especially locally as there are a number of you on the East Coast.

Sure. Ecutek. Find a good tuner in your area who will give you a conservative tune with the stock set up. Maybe you throw in a drop in and youll get some pretty damn good numbers

The car is crazy fast on the track, look at the gains in the mid range!

AMS or WORKS are a couple who come to mind that have had good success tuning the VIII/IX for track use.
WORKS primarily focuses on engineering parts and tunes for road course racing.
And AMS does well at both the strip and road course. And, the guy above me made some very strong numbers when AMS tuned for the track on his X.

I do travel around the country tuning cars. I have been to the east coast a couple times already.
If anyone would like to set up a trip, we would need about 6-7 people for one day. Any more people and we can just expand into a second day. I will need someone from the area that I will be traveling to to help me arrange it and get the word out to all of your local buddies.

Sean Ivey just tuned an EVO X with just a Ecutek flash and no other parts and had great results. Sean is located in New Jersey, which is not too far from you.

Depends on the area we are talking about. In Maryland I usually go to Atlantic, Boston I go to DSG, when I was in Connecticut I tuned on the street. If you aren't from around those areas, I would need your help in finding a dyno facility that will be willing to accommodate us.
