HUGE Props For Ecutek !

Last evening I had the pleasure to work with the newest firm ware of Ecutek on a almost bone stock Evo X (only a upper fmic pipe).

Ecutek has really invested a ton of time in the solution of a CEL problem we had and also making some great base maps.

I am super impressed with the power.

The end results were a easy 50 whp and TQ gain over stock and the car ran really well on my road testing.

Here are the final numbers 310 / 308.

The boost control on the ecu is fantastic and negates the need for any type of aftermarket boost control. Data logging is great and the overall feel and operation of the software was excelent.

In life sometimes you do get what you pay for.

I am on my way to Buschur Racing to do more R & D on the Buschur Flashes for Buschur parts and staged mods this week will have more results then.

Just as a side note its great to see that the Buschur Evo X has been running our mail in Buschur Flash tune at the winged warrior event and running hard and running strong.

Al

I have set the boost here to spike at 22 psi exactly and it holds 18 psi at red line

I feel that the car could tolerate another psi or two but I dont like to push my customer's cars hard when they are so new and with a lack of testing and field reports

The Buschur Car runs much higher boost than this and had been working great on pump gas

As much as I want to wait for other tuning options, this just sounds to good to pass up.

Thanks for the tune Al. You'll see me up there again soon. I'm going to get rid of the cat and exhaust first so that we can turn up the boost another notch.

I would say that you are, although I don't know what pump you are going to use, unless you want to modify the housing of the pump.

I believe it was Mitch @ Vivid that showed the graph of his IDC's being at like 120% and leaning out, correct me if I am wrong.

I would say get some larger injectors and a new pump though, that is my plan at least!

does anyone know where the top end of the efficiency range is on the stock turbo? i was also about to ask about meth as i'm going to port my meth kit over from the previous car. wonder what gains could be made just leaving the boost at 18-20 and ramping up the timing a little with meth
