Knock when slipping clutch from a stop? Up to 6 knock sum at 1200 rpm's
Anyone else log knock when driving gently from a stop? I sometimes can get as much as 8 knock sum between 1000-2000 rpm's at around 60-80 load. This is while driving normally (not hard launches or acceleration by any means), and it persists even after done slipping the clutch. It will sometimes record knock up to 2500 rpm's during light, normal driving. Typically the knock sums will be around 3-5, but I have seen as high as 8.
Is this real knock? Should I try to tune it out? The stock timing map looks a little funny around 60-80 load between 1000 to 2000 rpm's. I tried lowering timing in this area by 1 degree and smoothing it out, but it didn't seem to help. Anyone else log this problem during normal driving?

Yes, I have up to 10-15 knocks. Afr was too hight. Go to closed loop and more, more fuel! With lover AFR it's much better, but sometimes still knocking a little. Lower AFR at low RPM will help with spool too!
Hmm so you're saying I need more fuel? I thought I can't adjust closed loop - won't the ECU automatically target 14.7? Without a narrowband simulator, how can I affect how much fuel during closed loop? Thanks!
Hmm is your car stock? Mine is, and I wonder why it would knock at such low rpm's stock in closed loop - shouldn't the ECU be able to handle this? I'm a little wary of forcing it into open loop and tuning the AFR at such low load for daily driving (around 60-70 load between 1000-2000 rpm's).
