N00b needs help. How to remove tail lights? Having trouble...

I need a step by step procedure on how to remove tail lights so I can spray tint them. I'm having trouble figuring out exactly how to remove them. I got up to the removal of the bolts on the inside tail lights and the screws on the outer tail lights. Help anyone?

sorry to revive this old thread, but there seemed to be very lil info on the tail lights removal of the 08+ lancers, is there a step by step guide somewhere? i'm getting conflicting info cause some ppl say it's easy to remove and some say it's not. i'm planning on putting in the rice tails and was wondering if i can do it myself. and if it's gonna be a hassle if i have the mounted 10" subwoofer in the trunk. please help!

if you pull out the trunk panelling you should see what is necessary to remove the lights from there.

Hey all,

I'm in the process of trying to tint my tail lights as well and nearly busted my left light trying to pry it out. I ended up cracking the housing slightly because after much research everyone basically just kept saying put some elbow grease into it and the light will pop out. No such luck, so now I'm trying to figure out if there's a secret to removing the damn things. Thanks in advance!
