CHANGING DOOR UNLOCKING DEFAULT — 2008 & later Outlander, Lancer/Lancer Evolution. The owner's manual does not explain the procedure for changing which doors are unlocked if the vehicle has either a standard RKE system (regular key) or a K.O.S. equipped vehicle that does not have an HDD Navigation System. The customer can make these changes themselves, without making a trip to the dealer. Either system can be toggled between unlocking only the drivers door or unlocking all doors with the first input. Should a customer ask, advise this procedure:

Step 1: Press and hold the Lock button.

Step 2: While holding down the Lock button, wait 4 seconds then Press and hold the Unlock button .

Step 3: Release the Lock button first.

Step 4: Then Release the Unlock button.

Do not allow more than 10 seconds to pass or the procedure must be restarted.

Repeating the procedure will toggle the mode back and forth between opening only the driver's door and opening all doors.

Hmm, i got that exact info from the mitsu TSB tech site. I had mine done at the dealer when I first got the car so I havent tested it myself...too bad it doesnt work. I tried
