Oil swap

Is it safe to switch your normal oil that you use for another. I generally run AMSOIL in the Evo, but with me ballin' on a budget this month, i saw that auto-zone has 10 dollars off 5 quarters of Mobile One synthetic. With them both being synthetic oils will it make a difference switching them for this one oil change?

They are both synthetic oils so it will not be a problem. Just do a proper drain as i'm sure you normally do. I'd do it to save the cash. Mobil 1 is what i use anyway. Thats my two cents.

It shouldn't be too bad.. Mobil 1 is pretty good. Not like they use to be.. But still ok. I like to stick with a brand and keep it though.

I use AMSoil too.. The sig series. It does get kind of pricey but you only have to do it every couple months.. I change mine every 2500 and I DD it. Haha. I felt bad because I went 3100 miles this past time. Just been too busy to change it.. First time with the car I had gone that long and it's at 46xxx now.

Walmart usually has 5 quart jugs of Mobile 1 EP for $28 if I remember right. I don't know what 5 quarts comes out to be with the discount at Autozone, but...yeah

You feel bad because you went 3100 miles... Man oh man I should feel horrible when I go 7500 miles without a change.

I believe there was someone in these forum that ran the oil 12000 miles on their Evo 9

I try not to shop at Walmart because I'm pretty sure their business plan was written by satan, but they do beat the price of anyone else I've seen on Mobile 1.

Considering Mobil 1 is what the manufacturer recommends, I can't see you going wrong.

Yup no reason to do that anymore. Good synthetics can go 7k if you are just daily driving it

In a non-turbo, average car.
