SST tranny and RA = Evo compatibility

My question is in regards to the SST and the Super Sport mode the Evo X has. Is there a certain software or connection that enables the Evo X to have this mode or other mechanical capabilities the RA's do not. It looks to me that if we truly wanted certain things that the X has we would be able to upgrade relatively easily with a plug in play from an actual Evo.

This has been discussed before, but it ended with the SST being so relatively new - that the tuners really haven't had much demand to pull one apart and fuss with the ecu of the SST. That, and the "real" tuners have all been getting m/t and sticking to m/t.

Logically speaking, there may be a way to "flash" the SST ecu and allow super-sport and launch control. But...who knows, its all speculation at this point in time.

just to let you know, when AMS had my car for testing / tuning I asked similar questions. They really have not dug too far into this yet. Nor I don't think they care to, unless someone with an R/A has a bug up their *** and pays them to figure it out, I don't think this will get resolved anytime soon.

Launch control is easy, I'm sure you can flash to get that, even cars that don't come stock with launch control at all can have it added. Super sport mode on the other hand is more difficult and it likely depends on how deep your wallet is and how willing you are to let someone tinker with brand new, non repairable transmission.
