That happened to me the first time I tried it also. I'd say to make sure you have the brake pressed pretty hard and then floor the throttle (don't be timid on the throttle).

I think it was the brake not being pressed hard enough, works now. Bit of a let down. I thought it would have been more violent.

I did some experimenting with mine, whithout actually launching it. I believe it is the tps position that determines whether you are in launch mode or not (assuming you are in s-sport with asc off).

With the throttle in the first 50% of travel or so it seems that the transmission wants to go, so it drags down the engine. I also noticed that when pushing the throttle to 50%, that once the trans started loading the engine, it would not allow me to launch, even if I mashed the gas down all the way.

However, if you push the throttle to full 100% right away with the brake pedal held, it seems to get the message you want to launch, and does not engage the clutch unatil you relase the brake.

Also when I would go to 100% throttle right away, it would let me back off the throttle to attempt to control the rpm. It does however seem kind of touchy, and will take some practice to get the technique down. Fortunately, it will let me practice without actually launching the car, so the trans might actually survive my learning process.

That's very good news and a great 60ft time for a automated manual. How did you record this time, were you at the track?
