Is this normal for the sst?

I have this knocking noise coming from the center console right under the shifter. Everytime its on Park and i step On the brake, it make that clicking sound. I wanted to know if its normal before i take it to the dealer. I have a 2010 SE 3k miles.

Ye when in park. Whenever you tap the brakes while the gear is on park it makes clicking noise.

it's the shift lock release allowing you to shift from park with the brake is applied

I reckon the TC-SST needs a fact sheet stuck to the sun visor. Like...

Brake Off: Pause-Clunk
Engine Off: Clunk-Whine-Clunk
Throttle On at Low Speed: Clunk
Throttle-off in high gear, low RPM: WubbaWubbaWubbaWubba
Change Up in NORMAL: Snick-pause-Clunk
Change Up in SPORT: Snick-CLUNK
Change Down: Rev-Clunk
ReverseToDrive: Whiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrr-Clunk
Transmission Info Reverse: Whirr-FastBeep-FlashingR-FastBeep-FlashingR-FastBeep-FlashingR-FastBeep-FlashingR-Clunk-SlowBeep-Finally-ReverseOK

Basically, if your Ralliart/SST-Evo isn't making noises like an old printing press, take it to the dealer and get it fixed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't an ES model have a CVT transmission not a TC_SST? Either way it is the shift lock release the OP is hearing.

SE, not ES. SE is the Evo X Special Edition, which has a SST.
