Supraboy is now making 424 wtq and his clutches are holding fine.

rough because you fitted something thats not computed for .. thickness ..
you can probably expect a few CELs later .. once you put power down ..

don't think you should hit on bryan .. I'd ask the same question too .. because you have something thats akin to the elixir of youth ..

I just took a look at the charts .. you can't hit that level ..

the gearbox will shut you down even before you hit that level .. and it has nothing to do with engine .. put it this way .. output numbers on dynos are never correct for the SSTs .. .. this is the way the gearbox and engine interface is designed .. you can't run away from this .. no matter how you choose ..

Bryan knows the SST more than any of you guys .. (other than me )

Bryan does know the sst, but cobb and Tephra are the ones who're experimenting w/ it at a code level. They know more about how it works than bryan. And they've gotten good tq out of it, though they still aren't happy with where they are. Supraboy's car does make that tq, cobb's dyno is accurate (6% below DJ), and this has been verified by many. I'm going to do a back-to-back of my car on cobb then on a local DJ just to prove this point.

All of this doesn't replace the fact that supraboy's car is slow :-)

Back when I had my IX I verified Cobb's Mustang reads between a DynoDynamics and a DynoJet. Results were similar when I took my X from a DynoDynamics to Cobb's Mustang, but my X hasn't been on a DynoJet yet.

LOL yup, but, that at least shows it's within the range it should be

I can agree with Jake's (chkmgnt59) 6% claim too, that sounds about right from my findings. My IX read about 15% higher DD --> DJ, and about 10% higher DD --> M (and 6% lower DJ --> M).

When you see your numbers are the same on the dynojet will you still post them?

Our local mustang dyno reads pretty close to our DD dyno. Another fully built X with a black just barely cracked 500whp on E85. Just saying.

But anyway, isn't this thread about wtq limits for SSP clutches? LOL. What happened here, i didn't see any mention of SSP stuff but I skipped to the 2nd page.

I'll do anything you like dave. The biggest issue is there isn't an awd DJ in DFW. So i'll have to drive to who knows where to find one.

Actually Alamo Autosports in Arlington has an AWD Dynojet. I really should go over there and throw my car on it. This Sunday however I am going to put my car on another Mustang Dyno that isnt COBBS and I will for better or worse post it here.

Im man enough to make a retraction if Im wrong about COBBS dyno.

If you're going to Kan's dyno, it will read lower than cobbs. Theirs is a typical mustang, it'll read 13% below a DJ. Cobb's is 6% below. So you'll drop power for sure.

Didn't know alamo had a DJ....

You looked at the charts and I cant hit that level? HUH. Thats like saying I told you the sky is blue and you say.. Impossible. Or water is wet and I throw some on you and you say... Nope.

You have me scratching my head on this one...How the the hell does the dyno know whether a car is an automatic or a manual??? You dont hook up any electronics to the cars computer... You attach a hose to read boost and a sniffer for AFR's.
