I'm not seeing the free shipping, but still it's a great deal.

How about this one, $10 per 1 liter bottle when buying a case of 12!

It basically matches the same G 052 182 A2 spec as the Ravenol they are moving towards, but they are unloading this other German made fluid at closeout pricing. It's specced for the same Dual Clutch Audi and VW transmissions so I'm going to give this a try.

Here is the link I noticed the closeout fluids from:

http://www.blauparts.com/products.asp?cat=4404

No guarantees from me that it will perform the same, but if it's the same spec it really should be fine.

Once you go to checkout and quote the shipping cost w/ 12L it says qualifies for free fedex ground. I also saw the closeout of the other dsg/dct fluid they had, but I thought it said out of stock for 12L. Maybe it was out of stock for the 1L I can't remember . The new fluid I purchased should arrive later today..fast shipping .

I think I paid $16 for shipping which isn't the end of the world. Going to the shopping cart doesn't seem to give any indication of free shipping so it might have been a limited time thing.

True $16 to ship 12 liters doesn't kill the deal...still around $15 a liter. With a reuseable filter makes it around $100 a fluid change.. Much easier on the wallet to preserve the life of the transmission and gives no reason not to keep up on maintenance.

Well I need about 11 liters since I have an SSP deep pan that has to go in and an AMS sidemount cooler.

Buying the closeout fluid it's $10 each or $120.00 per case plus $16.40 shipping.

Here's the breakdown to make it more clear:
1 Liter: $11.37
4 Liters: $45.48
8 Liters: $90.96
12 Liters: $136.40

Street Tuned Motorsports can get the Mitsubishi Diaqueen SSTF-1 for $117 for 4 Liters which isn't bad locally but this fluid deal was hard to pass up being over 60% less.

I just changed my tranny fluid using the vw/audi dct fluid. All I can say for now is Wow! shifting is freaking smooth even when I downshift at normal mode. Before, I have to let go the acc pedal for downshift coz it clunks. but now, it's perfect at normal mode. Meanwhile at sport mode, still clamps hard.

But I may have to log my clutchslipspeed to make sure they dont slip bad. What a difference to get the tranny fluid changed!

thanks to the researchers of this thread.

Ok let me get this straight. ..

Im convinced from razorlab's commenting and i've got the oem filter and I'm 98% on ffl2. My question is if it's a decent replacement does it last as long as diaqueen and are there any negatives to it besides the warranty issue with colour( that's already out the window for me ).

Will it also be just as usable for diaqueen if i take it to the drag strip once in a blue moon.

Thank you

From reading the entire thread my understanding is not that it is a "decent replacement" but that it is in fact the exact same fluid other than maybe dye color. So it should last just as long, with no negatives. As for warranty ... we all know how Mitsu is, but if you're willing to fight it, it should be easy enough to show them the bottle, the receipt, and the data showing it is the same fluid and demand they prove the cause was because of bad fluid (as per the Magnuson-Moss Act

I used pentosin FFL-2 which Mitsu just tested in my car and it passed the test. Just wanted to inform all :-)

Thank you all for the research you have done!!!

Changed my SST fluid at 30K. I shouldn't have waited this long. I used Diaqueen since I got lucky and was able to get them for $90 each on ebay. Considering how bad the fluid was at 30K, I'll be changing my fluid at 10K intervals. Good thing there are cheaper alternatives. Thanks for the research!

great thread. you guys helped me out today. I found some additional reference material

http://www.motul.com/system/product_...pdf?1350922581

here is another good cross reference http://www.automotoroil.com/atf/atf-...dct-dsg-fluid/

this will work - I picked up some vw brand today to top mine off after adding an inline cooler in series. its nice because they said they keep it in stock and its only $22.00 per liter. G 052 182 A2
