ok so i got my car a few months ago, bought it used from dubai and shipped it here to saudi....the car is an MR-T 2010, i noticed right away the min i drove it when i accelerate in D or 1 it only shudders while hard accelerating on WOT normal accelerating doesn't do it...but it stops shuddering once im moving....launch control doesn't work no matter how many times i try.. all i get is trans overheating slow down...its getting a lot worse than when i got it...like for example today i was driving it on s sport and in manual...i was coming to a stop so i was downshifting from 5 to 1 when i got to 1 it pretty much got stuck in 2 on zero so i had to accelerate on 2...it suddenly went fine after that...oh and yes when im going through gears on medium acceleration...some gears do fluctuation when shifting from for example 4 to 5 the rpm goes up quickly as if u pressed the clutch while ur pressing the gas pedal shifting into the next gear....oh and yes i forgot sometimes when i doing normal driving i come to a stop light i put it in N suddenly throws me a trans over heating service required then i shift it back to D the car doesn't move so i have to turn it off then on again then it will drive....i used the mut 3 to pull error codes and it said P0702: Internal control module, monitoring processor system Malfunction.....the car drives fine shifts fast downshifts and up shifts well

i just can't launch

sometimes going from d to n then back to d causes the car not to move requires off then on...

fluctuations while shifting on medium to WOT only recently getting worse and worse its almost like the clutches aren't holding properly.....

just today i was stuck on second gear on complete stop for the first time in 4 months.....but it fixed it self, almost like a glitch...

all the tuners here are telling me my clutches are gone....

the car has 45k miles on it and its clutch packs have never been changed...so my question is....can the error code thrown be an indication (although is an ecu code) that my clutches are almost on their way out?

im really tired im getting frustrated....the dealership doesn't know jack **** here in saudi...so what could this mean....did anyone here ever have this or a similar problem happen before...?

It seems to me u r driving the car too rough. When slowing down, you do not need to down shift manually; the computer will down shift for u according to the speed. Down shifting from gear 5 to 1 will will definitely put more stress on the tranny. Plus, during a stop, u do not need to put it in neutral, I think that is why it is throwing the transmission over heat code. MR tranny is not like a normal manual tranny, leave it in D unless it is in s- sport mode, all u need to do is just shift up.

Bro trust me im totally not driving it rough, there is no difference between auto and manual mode its the same thing when downshifting only difference is ur doing it manually...plus when im downshifting from 5 to 1 its like 5>> 4>>3>> 2>> 1 gently. this gearbox isn't for up shifting only. ....I know that this gearbox has defects hence the amounts of people who had to change out the tranny through warranty cause theirs failed. Its a great tranny just needs better programing that's just how I feel....if it has a down shift paddle lool means you can downshift....

Perform a full service on the transmission, see if situation improves. Use only genuine OEM fluid, p/n C0002610.
A full service includes at minimum the external filter. Because of the harsh environment (heat) the car lives in it should be on a severe duty service schedule.

If the problem persists then further diagnosis will be necessary. Due to the integrated nature of the transmission into other vehicle systems, and the ability of ECU tuning to effect transmission behavior, some times the transmission will exhibit issues that are not it's fault. This can make diagnostics challenging.

The dealership is not going to be much help unfortunately. The trouble tree in the OE service manual really only has two SST fixes. Replace the transmission, and replace the ECU. Neither is necessary I assure you.

If the car is slipping at WOT, a simple log of transmission pressure vs slip in S-sport will tell you if the clutches are gone or not.

Just a quick question. If your transmission was slipping slightly in normal and sport mode and you put it in super sport mode and their is no more slipping what does that mean about the transmission.

This is normal for closed loop operation and is usually invisible to the driver, though if you watch closely for it you can observe it, more so when the transmission is cold than warm. At WOT, the answer to this question is dependent on slip rate and how much power the car is making. Generally a full bolt on properly tuned car will be able to over power the transmission in normal and sport modes, but not in S-sport. The only way to be absolutely sure your car is behaving correctly is to data log.

hey kozmic sorry for the late reply the crazy thing is the car doesn't slip on WOT in any of the modes im going through the gears on WOT from 1k to red line with no slipping, the problem is the stop n go situation.. just a few weeks ago it went limp only 1 3 5 so i turned it of then back on again and never did it again.......i know the trans is rock solid its either the clutches or the TCU i have a huge felling
