Evo X mr sst '09 stuck in 2nd 4th and 6th

This problem is appearing quite often: even while i'm driving normally (law speed) sometimes the information display turned yellow and "SERVICE REQUIRED" came up. From that point forward the car would only shift between gears 2, 4 and 6. I could downshift in 1st but the car *beeep* like an error, and if i try to shift in R, the R on the information display start blinking and the gear doesn't work.
If i restart the car normally the problem disappear.
More rare is the case that a gear (it happened in 1st) "disengage" and instead of moving the car would just rev in place.
I noticed a little oil leak on the garage's floor (a stain around 2inch x 2inch maybe?) in the front of the car.
The car was used like 2 days in the last 3/4 years for personal reasons, and i did the classic motor oil and filters change one year ago.
It has around 50k miles

Any updates

Hi, I was wondering if you have managed to get this resolved and if you could share what the solution was. I'm having similar issues with a 2013 Ralliart?

Sorry for the terribly late reply, but unfortunately not, car still parked in box because I had no time to work on it.

Did you by any chance solved the issue?

Sounds like a shift fork magnet (Very common). Unfortunately the trans needs to come out to make a repair.

It could be something else though.

What's the maintenance history for the trans?

If it still under warranty or aftermarket warranty then you can take it to the dealership and they can replace the transmission. The DTC is covered under a recall.
