SST Build

Hello folks! Has anyone recently done a Kozmic build that entails the new Dodson side gear as well as the Dodson Spline Drum upgrade? Just curious how the car drives. I am currently building mine with pretty much all the Dodson options including their Sportsman 10 disc clutch setup aka stage 2 HD. Thanks in advance.

Yeah mate, I know. Just trying to gauge someone that already has it. Cause it was REAL recent that the side gear and the drum spline became available from Dodson. I know Jacks has had their reweld side gear and drum. However, no one really talks about it here.

I had no idea this was available now! Looking into it, seems like a great option. But, so true, here no one talks about it.

My understanding is that the side gear and the drum spline fail due to no grease and no o-ring on the t-case (Part Number 3200A144). So moisture etc gets in there, rust happens and grinds away. With the new addition of tougher parts now offered by Dodson, it is a permanent fix instead of having to source spares. For my specific build, I did have sheptrans upgrade the rack and pinion, new bearings, wavetrac lsd and install the Dodson spline drum.

In my experience, it is necessary to do the sst and t-case. This way you resolve all the main major issues within the drivetrain.
