The first National Tour event is less than a month away and now that I own an Evo I'd love to root him on for the win this year. But I've heard he might be hanging it up or trying something besides autox. So does anyone know his status, does he even still have the Evo? Or are any other nationally competitive drivers going to have a go at SM in an Evo?

 

Mark still cmes on here so you might get him to answer your question, I also know he wants to go roadracing.

As for SM.. we might run the AMS car in SM in Topeka, depends where it falls with its mods. For national tour events I dont know how many we will make.

Last time I talk to him he said he will still come out to local events and have fun, but most likely not Topeka, not worth the long haul for him. I can see what he is saying, if he win, people will said yeah because he supose to, and when he lose, people will be like wtf, whats wrong? haha. Besides, I don't think he need to prove anything anymore...

 

I'll be running SM at Nationals in Topeka, but I doubt I'm "nationally competitive". I did win two regional SM titles my first year of running, though.

back on topic, I talked to Mark a few days ago and he did not confirm or rule out running this year, there was a bit of a feeling that there was unfinished business with the SM EVO. I for one hope he runs it again at the nationals, come on Mark, you know you'll smoke em' this year

 

As of right now, I have not decided what I am doing, if anything, for this season. I just don't have the desire to travel all over anymore. Maybe I just need a break. Anyways, I still have the evo, and will run at least locally this year. Beyond that I am unsure.
