Tell Danny I said he was slow. Is he doing the OLA this year? Putnam is one of the tracks, so I'll probably head out to watch him and Jon from AMS. Everybody that's going have fun and be safe!

Last I heard Danny was doing the One Lap again. He probably would have won last year but the owner of the car insisted on sharing the driving, which is where they lost points.

Putnam Park

I'll be there on Saturday(25th) with www.100-speed.com . The weather is not looking too good for Saturday.

I will be there tomorrow (the 25th) as well.. We might have tried to run both days, but are going to go back to Chicago and work on the Time Attack car on Sunday. Robbie, I will be in a white (I think.. haven't seen it yet) Evo.

Danny was third last year at one lap, They probably would have won anyway but lost two clutches and brakes along the way. They were still the highest finishing "true" two-driver car ever.

He is going to be a handful this year for sure. (Along with Smith in the Hennessey car, Ron in a Viper GTS-R, Paul (Chronohunter) in a Porsche, etc.. the field is deep)

Datalog from the 100-speed.com event on Saturday. The logs start when I first go full throttle comming off of turn 10 and end in the same spot.

This was one of my better laps. I'm still learning this roadcourse stuff. This is my 3rd track day. I did Mid-Ohio two years ago with the BMWCCA and Putnam Park last year with the BMWCCA as well.

Lee runs a good event. I was pleased with the behavior of the participants. Only a few off courses and one occurance of oil on the track.

Did the weather hold up for you guys?

Up untill about 2:30 it was sunny but cold... then it snowed HARD for about 10min. My friend and I pack up at that time. I think Jon was on track during the brief blizzard.

I met Martin from AMS and I liked the guy. He didn't push any products on me. He had on a "One Lap" shirt/sweater. We talked for a bit. I think I'll continue to buy products from them.

It was a fun day, temps were really good for street tires, hard to get them greasy when it's 38' out.

And yes.. I stayed out in the blizzard..





Snow makes you feel like you are going really really fast...

I met Jon last year at the F1 race in Indy, he was very gracious with his time and made quite an impression on my two boys. Martin was supposed to be there as well but didn't make it. I can't wait to get back on track this year, these threads are killing me! 26 days till Mid Ohio!!

I recently purchased a wrecked Evo. I'm itching to get it fixed up and get out there to some track events with you guys.
