NASA Southeast Time Trial Championship Series

For those who might not know and be interested NASA has stepped up big time with a National Championship, sponsors,etc..
So if your a instructor, HPDE 3 or 4 driver, or current race licensed or solo1 driver this is a way to get 3 hours of track time a weekend and win a nice array of awards, items, etc..



There will be a whole bunch of Z06's, SRT4's, Vipers, BMW's, etc.. for a Evo to whip up on. Classes are all based on points (mods) so it's pretty fairly setup.

NASA SOUTHEAST TIME TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

7 Weekends (14 point events) at some of the best tracks in the Southeast

Road Atlanta – March 18/19 and August 12/13 Roebling Road – May 20/21 and Sept. 30/ Oct 1

Carolina Motorsports Park – July 8/9 Rockingham – June 17/18 and Oct. 21/22

National Championship at Mid-Ohio Sept. 11-17th

Awards/Track Records
 Regional Season Champions in 10 Classes (any car - Stock Miata to Viper Comp Coupe).
 Top Gun Award
 Corner Worker Award – every event.
 Class Awards every event.
 Regional Champions receive a discount for 2007 events.
 Track records will be kept and established starting in March at Road Atlanta.

wow... some how i dont have a single race conflict with this...


hmmm... what kinda tires can you run in this? hoosier S04 is the "hot" tire rite?



i will DEFINATLY come to atleast 4 and do some STY FLY BYS

NASA mid-atlantic is running same thing starting april 1 at shenandoah

is it driver based or car based. ie can you run two different cars in the same event or 2 different cars at different events.

I think a driver can run 2 cars in diff run groups and a team can run several cars in the same class with diff drivers.

I'm adding up points on my car now...........looks like i gotta move up one class for sure.

i like how the point system accomodates the car even if you parts to it later (or R-compound tires)

Yeah, looks like allot of fun. The mod points are on the nasa website in a pdf file.

The AMS car is 114 points BEFORE we pick tires and wheels.

(Though, it is in TTR anyway.. has 650+HP)

They do have this in Nocal and Socal as well. In fact every region across the country has it and then we all collect and compete at the Nationals at Mid-Ohio.

I believe you can run two different cars in two classes. Of course must have two different transponders then as well.

I have seen people qualify and run two classes for several race circuits and it is a feat that can be done but usually at a price.

You are so busy you never focus on one car.
