Dynoflash 2-step "launch control" BSP legal?
Dynoflash 2-step "launch control" BSP legal?
I will be getting my car tuned by Al in the coming month. Debating whether or not I think the 2 step launch control is SP legal.
I know there are no hardware changes, only code changes in the software. Supposed to build around 10-12 psi boost, which will be rough on the drivetrain with 285's. Since all the fuel and timing stuff is open and alternate ECU's can be run, I would think it's legal. Then again he must be adding a line of code in the ECU to reference the different sensors necessary to make the 2 step work (clutch switch, rpm, speedo sensor).
Anyone have any opinions?

As long as it's done within the parameters of the rule, then it is legal. I know some people have argued that even anti-lag could be done within the SP ruleset. Might want to try asking the SP forum at sccaforums.com. I'm not intimate enough with the class to know for sure.
