DTM Motorsport to be Event Sponsor of the Toyo Tires Redline Time Attack presented by Hawk Performance Brake Pads at Summit Point Raceway, August 5th-6th.
Lancaster, CA 07/24/06 – With just two weeks to go before the green flag falls at the 2nd east coast Redline Time Attack event of the year, Redline Track Events LLC is proud to announce the addition of DTM Motorsport as Event Sponsor of the Summit Point Raceway Redline Time Attack. DTM Motorsport specializes in the tuning of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions (8 and 9), Subaru Imprezas and STIs, Audis, BMW, Ferraris, Diesels and many domestic muscle cars. Located in Dulles, Virginia, DTM Motorsport owns one of the only Mustang AWD Eddy Current Dynos in the local region, giving them the ability to fine tune the performance of FWD, AWD and RWD vehicles.
Visitors will be able to stop by the DTM Motorsport booth at the Summit Point Raceway Redline Time Attack event to speak with representatives and view some of their work first hand. Company owner, Michael Ko, will also be driving one of their Time Attack entries, a 2006 Evolution 9 MR. The second DTM Motorsport entry will be a 2003 Evolution 8, driven by none other than Eiji “Tarzan” Yamada, one of the most successful time attack competitors in both Japan and the United States!
Round three of the Toyo Tires Redline Time Attack presented by Hawk Performance Brake Pads will be the largest time attack event ever held on the East Coast of the United States. With over 40 competitors expected at this event including representation from top tuners such as Cusco, JIC Magic, AMS, Buschur Racing and DTM Motorsport, fans are in for a great show! Will local drivers be able to dethrone Tarzan?! Who will be crowned Overall Champion? Join us at Summit Point Raceway on August 5th & 6th to find out!

Seriously though, I am really looking forward to running against him. Should be a blast.

Phew, I'm glad I'm running in the street class
This is shaping up to be a great event, hopefully more Evolution owners will show up. The street class is a great class to run, whether you are a novice or track **** (like myself)
The new Shenadoah course is a real tough course as well. I ran there with the BMWCCA (I know the region president, hence the reason I was able to run with them) and personally witnessed 3, yes 3, brand spanking new M3s eat the wall during an open track day.
The track has been altered somewhat since then (they moved a few walls back and added some tire barriers) but, it is still a nice course, especially the Nurburgring bowl!!!
