This just in.
Stoner won after a race long battle with Rossi.
Haven't watch the race yet but mcn article said Stoner's Ducati had almost 20kph advantage on the straights.
Kinda unfair advantage if you ask me.

Stoner won it? sweet

I'll thought all 105 pounds of Pedrosa would run away championships from the get go this year. Maybe the bike and rider minimum weight thing is going to work out.

Majority of the GP riders are very young.
They are between 20 and 30 years of age.
The hump was designed for aerodynamics.
It's supposed to help the air flow smoothly over the helmet and the back when the racers are in full tuck.

Here's the result for the 1st Moto GP race:
1st Stoner (Ducati)
2nd Rossi (Yamaha)
3rd Pedrosa (Honda)
4th Hopkins (Suzuki)
5th Melandri (Honda)
6th Edwards (Yamaha)

the duc was stoopid fast in the straights.... otherwise Rossi would have had a chance... but what a race from stoner, he was smokin' fast...

It pretty much keeps your head from being tossed around by wind, which makes riding at that speed a lot less stressful on the neck.

Great start to the season for sure. There a lot of guys that can win on any given weekend; should be pretty interesting.

Thanks.

One more question though: who came up with the "***-cam" idea?

I mean I like headlight-cam and taillight-cam, and will even tolerate handlebar-cam, but ***-cam????

should be a great season, I am a rossi fan, but glad to see stoner take it. That duc has some power on the straights. I like the lean angle meter they added. Also love seeing the difference between braking and throttle between the riders. Seems like rossi does not use half as much brake as stoner, so you know that duc was flying.

I know its early too, but no repeat for hayden with those kind of results.
