Quote: my parents actually dont pay for any mods thank you very much clayton.
Oh, I don't doubt that at all, but when they pay for all your living expenses, it makes it really easy to blow all your money on your car. You mentioned no housing expense, so...

Jarrod, I replied in that thread - I'd probably jump in on this rare opportunity if I'm a little more sure of the group buy. I could then relegate my NT03s to DD duty, which would be awesome...

Quote: I don't spend money on the car if I can help it. Our money goes to family-related things, and the car is not of any interest to my wife. I don't really make that much - maybe that much combined.

I'm not buying that working as a teenager was enough to pay for all that stuff, evobeatsti. Maybe by living at home and having mega-rich parents. (again)
You have family stuff that consumes 21k a month! Holy crap....

I've been running 18x10 all around for 2 years, so yep, you can make em fit!

They don't make an 18x10.5. You don't REALLY need a 10.5 in the front do you?

Jarrod, i like to be different! i would pick these up but i am getting a set of nt03's for like $700 for the set so ill stick with that and do a diff with the extra cash. how much extra rolling do you have to do for a 10 vs a 9.5?

All else being equal, you need 1/4" more clearance on the fender side - which is about 6mm. Not a lot, but if you are already really close then you'll need to spend some time there . . .

This is going to depend heavily on your setup. Some of the fastest street mod Evos are running the stock rear bar.

Quote: I am an STi guy but I had a question for the experience SM or (BSP) EVO driver.. I am trying to figure out more about the roll centers and instant centers on the EVOs and I wanted to know if anyone had taken the time to figure it out on the EVO yet. From the ride heights I've seen it almost looks like your roll centers are below the ground plane. Can anyone shed light on that?
There is some discussion on the BSP thread about the subject. Not sure if you've seen it. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=318668&page=2.

Quote: As said above, they last a long time. With one person driving the car I ran 2 years (~14 events per year) of autocross with drag launches every run, 4-5 trips to the drag strip, and about 35K miles of hard street driving on my first ETD. . . .

I think I'm leaning towards a Tilton DD. The rebuild parts are abt $200ish, compared to $600ish for the Exedy.

A very analytical engineer buddy of mine just put one on his 400whp+ STi & he really likes it. He did a lot of research into this & went w/ the Tilton...

I don't need anything that holds crazy Tq, just something very durable--like we all do...
