Congrats to Evasive & AMS! + Super Lap Battle 2008 Schedule
First off, congrats to both AMS Performance and Evasive Motorsports if what I am gathering from the Super Lap Battle All Stars ad in the new Turbo Magzine is correct. From what I gather from the advertisement, both the AMS and Evasive Evos (along with some other cars) will be doing some sort of exhibition run with Formula Drift at the 2008 Long Beach Grand Prix!
The advertisement also lists the 2008 Super Lap Battle schedule which is the first I have seen of it...
Qualifying Rounds:
May 24th @ Firebird Raceway
June 21st - 22nd @ Mid-Ohio
July 12th - 13th @ Willow Springs
August TBD @ Road Atlanta
Finals:
November 12th @ Buttonwillow

Very cool! The more exposure for Time Attack the better, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if the demo goes well, the LBGP will want to run a full scale Time Attack competition at some point, which would be KILLER!

^^^That would be awesome! Time Attack is getting HUGE. It is all over the magazines. Just take a look at the Show & Shine section to see how many "time attack EVO" threads there are lol. I can't wait to see how this year pans out.

Time Attack has so many good things going for it. It doesn't have to be gimmicky, it doesn't have to be a flash in the pan. It's not limited to any particular make or model, RWD, FWD or AWD, Imports, Domestic, Euros, WHATEVER!!!!
Just got off the phone with a significant player in our industry. If I wasn't already excited about this year, I sure as hell am NOW! And you should be too!
