clip of VIR win with traqmate
CJ put this together for me so thought I'd finally upload it. This is from the 2006 National race, car was on bone stock GSR suspension. MPH is in the lower right.

Thanks!, I overshot turn 4 a bit (the very sharp left hander) but other than that they were pretty decent race lines for an awd on stock suspension. If anyone has questions regarding VIR just ask, I also instruct there occasionally. Keep in mind, the worse the car handles the less repeatable the lines are, especially at the limit. I have Hawk DTC-70s up front and PF 01s in the rear (stock calipers and rotors) but if you know VIR it really isnt tough on brakes since it has so many nice straights to cool the brakes down, and I run SRF fluid. Tires are 245 40 17 Hoosiers Rs on 8 inch rims.

Curious combo, 01's have slightly more bite then dtc60's, therefor helping in trailbraking a bit maybe....care to comment?
Sure, I run the dtc 70s up front because they are the only pad I seem to be able to keep on the car without cooking the pad, plus I like the linear pedal they provide. As for the aggressive pads on the rear, I felt like the rear just wasnt doing its fair share, I was going an entire season on one set of 97s. And the car felt pretty squirrly under heavy braking. So I went with the more aggressive pad and I do feel it keeps the back on the car under me more, and it does assist in trail braking as you noted. With the nice abs system the evo has, it works well. If you have an RS, it would be way too aggressive in the rear and youd have some serious lock up. Seems to work for me
Thanks, scca rules!! It is a bit of a crazy combination but you just have to go with what they give you. I now have a nice set of JRZ double remotes and the scca just gave us some springs (about 50% more rate) that fit on the stock perch but they did put an inlet restrictor on the evo this year, designed to pull about 30 or so whp from us. btw, We are only able to mod the ecu and put a cat back and drop in filter as far as motor mods.
