Updates... (This time from a hotel in Kokomo, IN)
It seems that pre-event attrition is already starting. The H.A.R.T. (Honda of America Racing Team) Civic team who finished fifth in 2006 and was running good until a camshaft failure hit on a transit in 2007 has opted out of the 2008 running.
From the One Lap message board:
I didn't have these guys in my predicted top-10, but I did have them as a strong alternate, with the rain in the forcast this week these guys woul dhave been looking good, so it does take out one of the near-front runners.

Unfortunately we're not going to make it with the Civic this year.
Too many uncertainties and not enough test time this Spring. We've been working hard to try and get everything sorted out, but the car is just not ready for the week-long adventure of One Lap.
