o2 housing dump...what AutoX class?
As-is, it's not legal for anything. Exhausts need to exit to the side of the car or behind the driver to even pass a tech inspection. Stick some additional piping on it to pass tech and it would be legal for BSP.
+1 .... unfortunately not legal without further modification. Exhaust has to exit behind the driver.
I've written to nationl with this question. My local region stated that the WG flow wasn't considered part of the exhaust system so it isn't regulated by this rule, but national might think otherwise. I'll post up the reply.
We are addressing this issue at the moment and are working on a solution. When we find out the exact specifications from the rule book then we will move forward with an Auto-X legal version. We want to be able to meet our customer's needs and demands of us. We will this weekend have some R&D to work this issue out, stay tuned for an update. We will make this workout for you Auto-X guys that want to run our EvoPowerMods O2 Dump housing.
That's not the only problem, the exhaust is a straight cut out and there are noise restrictions on certain sites. Not all sites but definately certain sites that the SCCA abides by. While there isn't a noise level rule in the SCCA rule book, it is upto the discretion of the event master.

still waiting on a response from the SCCA. I'll write/call again if i haven't heard anything by Wednesday.
About the sound ... it's true that it may push you beyond the the dB limit. we'll have to give it a try. But, you know as well as I that there are super loud auto-x cars and they have their ways of working around the dB restrictions.

I got a response ...
It honestly sounds a little vague to me ... like he's not sure. But, that's the official word ...
I'm not sure that we want to pursue a more "official" ruling. For now I guess we'll go ahead with design on an SCCA legal modification.
Hi, Matt,
Since the wastegate on a turbocharged car has exhaust gasses exiting
from it then it would seem to me that if a "dump" tube was used that it
too would need to be exiting behind the driver.
