AutoX guru's need help on picking a class

Alright so im a newb when it comes to autox, i have only been in 2 events and unfortunatly from my mods i put myself into SM which is a very tough competition. I am trying to get into a class such as STU or maybe BSP, but since i don't plan on running slicks, i figured STU would be the place to be. Alright now lets go over my mods.
ETS FMIC, LICP, UICP, intake with hard piping and filter
Megan o2, downpipe, catback
hallman mbc
megan coilovers
enkie rpf1 17x8.5 with stock tires
Now heres the part where i got confused
I got into an accident and i figured what the hell, ill get a cwest front bumper and seibon carbon fiber hood. After checking the rules and someone coming up to me in my first event saying that the carbon fiber hood put me in SM. I was upset but whatever, it doesn't even save weight.
Now, im considering selling my hood and bumper in order to get back into STU, but what other mods would i have to get rid of in order to fit in the class. I know i would have to get rid of the hallman, but would the intercooler and piping need to go as well??? So im asking what i would need to do in order to get into STU, please help me out. thanks again

There is no choice - you're only possible class is STU if you don't want to run slicks. You're right - that hood doesn't save weight - which is why there's no reason to get one. I realize you had an accident, but that's a purely cosmetic hood, and you can't have it in STU. You also can't have the MBC, and you must have a cat. I don't know about the IC piping. The rules are posted on the SCCA site for you to read, and we have a huge STU prep thread here in this forum, so you're in the right place.

When I asked I was told you can't have the FMIC or intercooler piping.

The MBC is definitely out as well since you can't mess with the boost (you can change the ECU, but not the boost, not sure how they can tell?).

Make sure your tires aren't > 245 wide since that's the limit for STU for AWD vehicles.

You might try running with the Novice modifier as well. That will put you into a PAX class (with lots of other vehicles) while you learn what you're doing. I know that my times vs. STU at the last event were about 4 seconds too slow, so I wouldn't have been competitive. In Novice I was.

yeah, im a bit upset about the hood as well, im not one for major cosmetics but the siebon hood was actually saving me a few hundred dollars believe it or not. Alright thats what i figured with the intercooler and the piping as well, kinda sucks because i really don't think i will consider taking my intercooler and piping off because thats what im currently getting tuned on and spend $1000 dollars on. Alright thanks for all the help and if anyone has any more info post it up, i may just have to stick it out in SM and just compete for fun knowing that i will never really take a top score.

C-West bumper is allowed.
CF Hood is not allowed.
Intercooler piping is not allowed.
Halman MBC is not allowed.
You must have a stock cat or a HFC that doesn't throw a CEL.
You tires have to be 245 width or smaller with a 140 UTQG tread limit (Stock are fine).

get rid of the CF hood and C-west bumper and run BSP. You might be more competitive in there
