NASA / Redline Helmet?

Where do you guys get your helmets from, since they have to be DOT / SNELL?

Or vendors let me know. I need it asap, before Aug. 15

Just google "car racing gear" "auto racing gear/helemts" etc..
You'll come up with more choices than you want.

www.saferacer.com has a good selection and good prices. They are quick with shipping also.

Instead of ordering one online, you can go try them on and buy one you like. This shop is about a 1/2 hour drive from Redondo Beach.

If the group buy doesn't get started (which I doubt it will) then I'm ordering from here: http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/PR...ect/openfacesa

You know, I have a big head (wait, did that come out right?), but when I've been using loaner helmets I actually wear a medium. So I honestly have no idea what size I'd buy.

When I was trying on some helmets at a store I was an L or XL (full face which wasn't nearly as comfortable as open face).

I will only wear a closed-face. every time I try one on, it has to be a XL to XXL. I measured my head, or got it measured, (I don't think that's politically correct) and its about 23 1/4 tight, so I am guessing I need something that accommodates bigger then that.

We carry helmets, but admittedly it's nice to have one to try on.

Did you disable your airbag? If not, why would you want to wear a closed-face helmet?

I recently bought an HJC si-12 from Touge Factory. PM them for great prices on HJC helmets. They're all Snell SA2005.
