wow, two people picked me for BSP? talk about wasted votes.

I'm going to guess I won't get lucky again this year and have Aaron cone any of his fast runs. Mid pack, here I come!!

I will be right behind you Marshall. I certainly cannot keep up with Aaron unless he cones. My only question is how many people will be between us.

Sanding was not really an issue at the MidDiv event there a few weeks ago. Plus, SCCA will be doing lots - o - sweeping, so I think it'll be OK. Hoping for warm temps though.

So now that the event is over, anyone have some good stories? It looks like the evo faired quite well in both BSP, SM and STU with a good showing from the Berry's in FP.

It was really nice to meet a bunch of you guys that are regularly on the forum (Jarrod & Marshall specifically). It was also very cool to see where we stacked up with the Berry & Miller BSP cars. I am quite sure that my car was def not as fast as the others since my last West course run was about a 100% run for me and it was still 0.3 - 0.4 behind the others (raw time).

I plan on getting our videos together later today and probably MaxQ as well. Anyone have some data they want to compare/swap?

We are already beginning to plan our assault for '09. The biggest difference is we will trailer the car. 23 straight hours on the road twice inside a week is rough. Alas we are home safe and sound. Hope everyone else has a safe trip.

I have maxq data from Tue/Wed that'll post up eventually. I'm still unpacking.

Tell me about it. I also moved this week. I put 5000 miles on the evo in 6 days.

OK...I have to officially re-neg on this. I was wrong, unfortunately. The sand cost Chris big time. What would have been only a 2 to 3 tenths mistake turned into going along for a ride through a wall of cones. Sucks rocks.

PS...I would be interested in some MaxQ sharing.

Since we can't post .mqd files I guess we'll have to do email exchange, or simply change the extension to post to the forums. I'm curious to see how the STU cars look.

I'm also curious what the data for Tom's (BSP) 2nd west course run looked like that had funky timing where he got a rerun. Without his last run and dropping lots of time I would have been VERY close. Of course Aaron had some very fast runs that would have put him pretty far out front had he not coned.

So what did you guys think of the back chute on the east/left course? Did anyone make it through all the way to the kenny cone without lifting? I tried it on my third run, but tagged one one near the end on the right side . . .

I think if I tried it a couple more times I could squeeze it through with just a little wiggle in there. . .

I lifted my first run and then my co-driver made it through clean without lifting. So from there on we went full out through there. We never caught a cone on the second day so I know the cars fit.

Finally got video up. Jay = 2nd place in BSP, Dan = 7th. My east course run is the slowest one, but only one I have on video.

Great to see the Evos do so well. The vid are great to watch and a lot of lesson to be learned by us less experienced drivers. Thanks for putting them up.

Hey, John,

Congrats on your 2nd place finish in Topeka! I was rooting for you to displace Tom Berry and bring home the big one for the East Coast, but that's a tall order, isn't it?

As you probably know, my daughter Theresa drove Alex Shchipkov's DSP car and came back with a championship in DSPL. We're very proud of her!

I'm going to get new coilovers before next season, and if that makes my car competitive on the tour, Theresa and I will be going out to Topeka together next year.

Thanks to you and Dan for posting all the videos and blogs on the Holunfie site. It's almost like being there! Except not quite.

Mike

You can't call it procrastination since I just bought my firewire card for my laptop yesterday! I figured you guys might want to see these videos from Nationals last year.
