Peter Guagenti captured some great in-car footage from this year's Targa Newfoundland. His WORKS sponsored Evolved Performance EVO made it 11 stages before spinning a rod bearing on the stock bottom end. Despite being down on power for much of the run Peter still managed to keep the car going at an amazing pace until it retired completely.

This is the stage where the motor let go. He was down on power for most of the run, but he made it to the finish in his base time.

I really wish I could take a crack at the Targa someday since I'm originally Canadian and lived in neighbouring New Brunswick while in Uni. Fantastic roads and scenery in NB - never been to Newfoundland but i's a hop and a skip away.

unfortunately my car's in Dubai although I'd love to ship it over one summer just for kicks (running Dubai plates would certainly confuse lots pl ppl though hahahah)

What do you need in terms of car prep to run the targa? Just a roll cage or do they require a fully plumbed in fire system and kill switch etc.?
