Kill switch install

So, googled around a lot and found various articles on installs for kit cars and spec miata's on ways to install a kill switch with the alt. protection. Per the NASA rules we need one, so I got the one from Pegasus racing, which looks like the standard 6 pole with the big red key. I know a lot of you guys have done this already, especially the big time shop cars and the rally guys, can any of you provide steps and/or pictures on the best way to go about it? From the electrical/wiring point of view. Thanks.

Here is a commonly used PDF from Longacre.

Thanks bro, specifically speaking I need to know what needs to be done with a 6 post switch on a lancer evolution....the 4 post one posted earlier has different circuits so it's different but the concept is the same. What I've gotten so far is:

1. Run the positive cable from the batt through the big posts on the switch to the bus (rockford fosgate bus with everything in it from batt relocation)

2. On terminals 3 and 4 - Somehow rig up the supplied 3ohm 11 watt resistor and some kind of alternator ground protection thing that I don't fully understand yet but the bigger question is how would you go from an 8ish gauge cable, and connect the resistor which is pencil thin, then to a big ground cable again.

3. Wires from Ign switch and Ign coil...which i dunno which ones those are, to terminal 5 and 6. So you find the end of each wire and run those "through" the switch that way it separates the switch from the coil....but would that even shut off the car if the cars already running?

Balrok, I think I found a good 6 post diagram. PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

Sorry about the delay. Work has been busy lately.
