But is he? I'm not sure how to put this delicately, but an injury like that can affect your brain function permanently. Does anyone have any news about his mental fitness after this horrible accident?

Its been reported that he's been speaking three different languages... I would think that shows he has no significant loss in mental capacity but I don't know about his day-to-day memory... Everything I've read seems to show he is doing rather well both mentally and physically. Have you heard otherwise?

I have heard the same reports as grillpt. Even if he had minor short term memory issues, all things considered he is doing very well. If this were 10 or even 5 years ago he may very well have died.

I am glad that Renault got there suspension switched to a large fine. What happened should not have happened but if it wasn't for the 2 accidents in the previous 7 days the penalty would not have been so stiff. I think that Romain Grosjean will do very well in an f1 car. He was really impressive in GP2.

I agree. I think he'll do better than... who did he replace again?

I also think a fine is much more fitting. Take away Alonso and Schumi = no one in stands.

I read that too... we'll see.

I can't wait for practice to get kicked off tomorrow. So ready to see some racing again, even if it is boring *** Valencia.

I was glad to see Rubens finally get a win. How about Vettel's luck, guy lost two engines this weekend. Redbull scoring no points at all... Super happy to see Kimi make the podium again, I was ecstatic when he got around Heikki on the second stop. It took the Bob and the gang a little while to pick up on that. Force India close to the points again, still yet to score.

They really need to do something with the track in Valencia to make passing possible. Did we see any real on-track passing (aside for Luca letting everyone by, he doesn't count)? I think it all happened in the stops...

Off to Spa, such a great track, I can't wait till friday!

A half-conscious FM is still >>> that Badoer. What an embarrassment.

I don't think we say a real pass the entire race, just another reason why this is by far the worst track in F1. At least they fixed the lip coming off the bridge this time around.

I really hope Ferrari throws someone new into the car for Spa, that was just an embarrassment. Letting someone pass you on the pit road?????

I am excited for next week, all the cars are really stepping up there game, should be a great race.

Bummer for LH. No reason for a pit stop failure like that. Probably cost him the win, but it's hard to be upset for Rubens.

Kimi? **** that guy. At least look like you're enjoying yourself, FFS. Would have preferred to see, well, almost anyone on the podium.

Definitely a snoozer. Couple passes on L1 T1/T2, but very little after that.
