It'll be interesting to see if Ferrari sticks with Badoer at Spa.
I understand Ferrari have basically given up on the season and this is their way of saying "thank you" for a decade of service to the Scuderia. BUT come on! He's so slow. Plus a quicker driver could give them the points needed to secure 4th place in the Constructor's Championship over McLaren (that alone is worth Millions). With that said, I do think Spa will see him perform better - Monaco, Singapore, and Valencia have to be the most intimidating tracks to start on.

I've found myself cheering more and more for FI this season.
The epic underdog, it'd be nice to see them gain at least 1 point this season.

For me the problem is not the Luca is slow, it is that he has no fight in him. He just rolls over instead of trying to fight for a position. I don't care if its first or 20th if your not getting lapped by a car don't let them past you.

Ferrari needs to get him out of a car stat, this is embarrassing to the company.

Bring on Senna!

I went out on a limb I watched practice 1 and 2 and looked at the whole package, this weekend proved to be a hard pick for me I went for the gusto and it didn't pay off. I dropped about 150 positions. I feel like button right now trying to hold on till the end!

Yeah I completely agree. When he pulled aside leaving the pits my jaw dropped. Hold the position and don't give it up unless the stewards force you to. He has no killer instinct.

He is the definition of a test driver and not a race car driver

Luca has this weekend at Spa to up his game. If he doesn't you'll see someone else in the car. Ferrari are trying to secure third in the Constructors. They still have a small lead over MM, but its gonna be hard to hold on to with the McLarens new found pace. Kimi will do well at Spa, but so will Lewis.

I wouldn't say that. after the start and before the first turn, he passed 4 cars before spinning out.

Yeah, he did well until he got spun out, after which he retreated into his shell. I don't think he'll do any better at Spa, which required a large set of brass ones to do well at; and right now Badoer barely qualifies as mouse-nuts (so small as to be insignificant).

Why not give someone like Hulkenberg a shot? ...similar to what Vettel got with BMW a couple of years ago.

Why not put Gene in the car...? Atleast he's been racing lately.

Fortunately for Ferrari, Heikki still sucks.

I agree that SF needs to swap drivers. I'm a McLaren fan till the end have expressed that since the very beginning but I have always enjoyed watching Massa practice and race. Only now do I realize how different the races are without him. We, F1 fans, need Massa back!!!

Any of you catch Windtunnel last night? Did you see the interviews with the guys from USF1?

My wife went to high school with Chad Hurley, co-founder and CEO of YouTube and now finacial backer of USF1. Some of her/my friends are still close with him and spend time with him and his fam in Cali. Its a small frigen world...

Read this on special stage, there is nothing about it on planetf1 yet

Aug.25 (GMM) Ultra-successful world rally driver Sebastien Loeb has reportedly made an approach to the new-for-2010 formula one team USF1.

"Somebody representing Loeb called us but I won't give details of the conversation," sporting director Peter Windsor is quoted as telling the French sports daily L'Equipe.

Ever since Loeb, 35, tested Red Bull's F1 car over the winter, his rising interest in a more serious foray has been rumoured, including recently putting his name forward as Sebastien Bourdais' Toro Rosso replacement.

Windsor added: "He is an incredible talent and he would definitely make things interesting in F1. We are looking more on the American side but are going to take him seriously."
Loeb also confirmed the USF1 approach to L'Equipe.

"I wanted to know if a team was really interested in me for F1. Someone contacted this new team but I don't know what happened.

"I am enjoying myself in the WRC and am on the verge of extending my contract with Citroen. But if I get the opportunity to do a couple of races in 2010 when the calendars don't clash then why not?" the Frenchman added.
