How does this affect Alonso, Heikki, and the other drivers who Briatore manages?

Guess they're going to be looking for a new manager.

I can't believe they had the nerve to do something like this in the first place. Flav deserves what is coming to him.

so i read through the formula1.com article about the 2 year suspended ban, but i my eyes glazed over after all the legal mumbo jumbo. so what does this mean? renault cant race for 2 years, or the ban starts in 2 years? or they aren't going to be banned unless they do something wrong again within 2 years? help i'm confused!

I love how NP Jr. is saying he wants another chance in F1 The only way he should be able to get in an f1 car is if his dad buys a team.

But there is that chance that one of the 3 new teams will give him a shoot next year due to the fact that he has F1 experience.

My understanding is that as long as Renault is not found guilty of an "equally bad" violation they're fine. By throwing Flavio and Symonds under the bus they were basically spared.

There are a lot of other drivers who have actual talent and didn't deep six their teams.

Piquet Jr. doesn't belong it F1, just like Vanina Ickx didn't belong in DTM. Besides, nobody likes a rat.

A somewhat predictable outcome for Renault, as I'm sure it would have been difficult to ban them and then find someone to supply engines in their stead.

I think there would have been a large fine / points penalty for Renault similar to what McLaren got.

Np jr might be back as early as next season http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,1895...582035,00.html

But the big news of the day is that Renault has lost 2 sponsors including ING

Blah. I love the night race concept, but it doesn't change the lousy track layout. Other than the first lap was there a pass on track?

Nice run by LH.
