ACD Flashing/tuning
ACD Flashing/tuning
Hey guys... the locals here in SoCal have been developing and are actually implementing a form of ACD flashing to get more aggressive lockup for the OEM ACD units.
Here's the thread:

Any input, thoughts, experiences with such modification? Gruppe-S is the one offering it, and I am contemplating on testing it out tomorrow at their offices.

This is very interesting. I would love to get in on this. Alot of these symptoms they describe my car does on the street or track and I didn't know it could be contributed to the ACD.
It looks like they are allowing the public to test today - if there is general concensus that this allows for an increase in rotation without loss of straight line stability/driveability, I will likely try this over the TRE rear diff.
That thread makes everyone sound like they think the flash is changing the torque split (which we know is not how ACD works). But I have ridden in cars with ralliart controllers, they do feel different.

awesome! i'm definitely going to keep an eye on what this can do
edit: what can this exactly do?
front and rear wheels stay locked at 50/50 correct? I wonder if this will affect the mid corner understeer of CT9A's
Why didn't I see an announcement for this on EvoM?

No problem, I didn't do that to be a jerk by the way. I happened to stumble upon it, then I did a search and found this thread. Not much info/buzz about it on EvoM. I have a feeling the reflash will help but there are no concrete numbers to be seen. I'm kinda between this and a TRE rear diff, I know the TRE you will feel the difference with the reflash I'm affraid it could be snake oil (though I don't believe it is).
I dunno it seems to have some pretty substantial results - I'll wait a little on it to see more results popping up.
I think both the tre rear diff and this acd reflash could work in conjunction though, no?

Yes, the reflash is for the Center Diff and TRE is for the rear diff. For me however, running on street tires, I'm not sure if I want to do both at the same time. I would go from a understeer pig to oversteer wh0re I would presume (if both work as advertised). Another thing is driving skill wise I'm probably a hack at best, I'm sure the more experienced drivers would love both. I might even like both just not sure is all.
