Discount Tire has free shipping though...I ordered NT05 in 255/40 and it ended up being $25 cheaper than if I went with City Tire.

Just an FYI in regards to STU, according to Nitto's website, the NT05 is not sold in 245/40/17, it is however sold in 245/40/18.

There's no way to get the water from the center to the edges on the NT-05s, but there is on the Star Specs.

I think they are going to be good tires though

275/35/18 to 75035 are 888 from CityTire. DiscountTireDirect is $912 + $12 in worthless valve stems + $76 in tax + free shipping. Total $1000.

$1000 < $888.

So shop around

All its gotta have is voids for the water to get to, and, the Nitto has just as much if not more than the Dunlop. Not only that, but because the grooves are so large in the Nitto, the tread block size suffers, lowering tread stiffness. Like I said, once we get a side to side, we shall see which tire is best. The RE11's I tried last weekend were very good.

Z1 (non-Star Specs) in 40-45F and rain. Also the video catching my friend turning green

For what its worth, the car felt stable going into turns after about half a lap. And I was still hitting pretty good speed on the straight, could not detect any hydroplaning.

In my case 255/40/17 were $600 shipped from City and $576 shipped from Discount. I went with discount. Why do you have to pay tax?

put them on at 6300 miles and I rolled 14,100 today. I'm going to try and stretch them another 2-3 months.

A friend has NT05's on an STI and another on a Supercharged BMW, both track their cars. Drag and some track time. They love them.

I currently have Invo's and will be getting a set of NT05's next.
