Forgot to mention, Dunlops won on both asphalt and concrete, and in wet and dry conditions.

I was just about to post that exact question. We already know how good the Z1s are. I think everyone is curious as to how the NT-05s measure up to them.

Grassroots Motorsports used them in a grip article this month. They were almost as grippy as RA-1's in their test.

Well I ordered my NT-05's. I have a time trial in june on a track I've done before with minimal changes to the car. So for me that will be the true test!

Well in the SCCA events mentioned, any ringer tires will usually surface. Along with the Z1 star spec (which came out a year ago in March), people have been testing the new models from Bridgestone, Toyo and Yokohama, there has been no clear winner yet.

From what I felt at SEMA, the NT-05s had a relatively hard compound. This may not allow the tire to come in on the important first lap in the AX format, until it gets some heat into it. For comparision, the Toyo R1R is softer than many R compound tires. Emilio certainly knows his stuff, so the NT-05 may be better suited in a track setting.
