Here's it copied and pasted:

Tires:
Non-DOT approved tires = -0.75 (VRL & GAC Hoosiers see App. A)
Size 10.5” (267mm) to 9.6” (244mm) non-DOT approved = +0.4
Size 9.5” (241mm) or smaller non-DOT approved = +0.8
Size 275 to 250 (DOT approved) = +0.4
Size 245 or smaller (DOT approved) = +0.8
So I'm right. You got the 0.4 and 0.8 mixed up I think.

It's a lot easier to do what you want with weight loss, run the tire your comfortable and competitive with, then dial in the HP number on the dyno using the reverse calculations. But keep doing the math as you go along so you don't go too far down in HP, especially with all these C5 vetts running around.

I will be running a 285 so, i get no points. . We will see if my plan works. The car will obviously be better at tighter tracks.

I finally have my dyno numbers and it looks like i can squeeze into TTS/ST2. The car is sitting at 337whp/364tq on a mustang dyno. So it looks like with the 1.1 mustang dyno penalty i need the car to sit at 3256. I can make that happen. From what i see my points are add.4(4-door), subtract .5(AWD). That puts me at needing a 8.80:1 ratio.

I did also get my racecar log book. That is just one step closer to fun( if i get sick of sitting on the sidelines watching evo's racing).
3263 lbs with a 285 tire assuming your HP of 337*1.1 = 371whp.

Kinda ironic as that's the basement for my car...lol. If you ran a 275 you could drop over 100 lbs.
With a 275 and 371whp - 3151lbs would be 8.8
With a 275 and 371whp - 3133lbs with the .05 weight penalty for < 3150 lbs would be 8.702

It wouldn't be exactly easy for me to drop 100lbs. Well, lets just say that i don't really want to go that direction yet. If i decide to get serious about this stuff i might think different. I'm just here to be a PIA and help make contingency numbers. LOL

Haha. Nope. Working off my iPhone and just skimming through the threads. My bad.

But, practice never hurts.
