Impressive to say the least. I was readin the Redline press release and was like - and Evo that fast that I hadn't heard about until.... I found this thread. Hope you can keep us updated so we can follow the progression.
If you guys are at Autobahn - and sounds like you will be - I'll stop by to sneak some pics and say hi!

We raced head to head against Dennis and Sierra Sierra in Star Mazda, and they just nipped us for the championship for 2001...
Dennis is a fantastic person, and his professional approach is amazing. We have known about this car for well over a year... and have been staying in touch with him on it.
This is the car that made us decide not to enter Unlimited LOL!!!!!!
Can't wait to see it in action... if we make it to the west coast this year Dennis offered to share his equipment with us if we ship our car out...
Should be an amazing result...
Pectel is a part of AER (advanced engine research) who powered the LMP MG lola i drove in 2002/2003... and it works... crazy system... and the guys there know their stuff. I spent lots of time after each stint in the car working with them on engine mapping etc, which is were we started to get into the EVO stuff and 2 liter forced induction tuning.
Cheers

I think he was experiementing on some new found downforce for his car..
Not the most elegant setup, but his laptimes were amazing

Haha yes indeed.
AMS's TA-1 wing was one of the most hideous I have ever seen, yet due to its location extremely functional.
Aero is one of those things where if it works you just have to pretend it's not there.
Best of luck, I know how serious the open wheel stuff is so I know you will do the evo community proud!!!

It's ugly as hell. People talk about adding a wing on the front - he did it.
The SSE car isn't doing anything special in terms of laying down power. There are plenty of shops out there that can do that with a stroker and a 35R. They are tuning the chassis like a race-team, using sensors to gather data and applying proven knowledge - not club racer/tuner "ideas". That's why they were so fast. It's cool to see the big boys show up and raise the bar. Like when Chevy killed everyone in their stupid Cobalt.

Strain gauges in full-bridge configurations on load bearing members and string pots on the suspension. The string pots kinda struggle for resolution, I'll probably pass on using them again. Data is pulled in via Traqmate. I've also used Logworks to grab the data before, but Traqmate has the other relevant data.
