AMB Transponder - Mount location?

Those with the hard wired AMB Transponders - where do you have then secured on the car?

I had mine zip-tied in a good location and never had an issue. However, now that I just installed a sweet Beatrush aluminum underpanel, I need to relocate it. I do not think it will read correctly through the panel.

Those with the Beatrush or any other aluminum panel, where do you have your hard wired transponders mounted?

If your doing Time Trial any place safe from track debris hitting it. Racing needs it as far forward as the series rules allow.

Yep, TT/TA here. Just not sure where to place it now with the underpanel. It does a really good job of covering pretty much everything forward of the front axle!

So what's the best place to mount it without an undertray?

Anywhere near your battery where it has a clear view straight down! Zip-ties are your friend.

If all else fails, head for the bumper and ziptie to the honeycomb.

I installed mine near the intercooler mounting point on the front passenger corner. I also used it with an Alumalite undertray and had zero issues with it reading. I'd say try it with the undertray in position and if it doesn't work, switch it the front grill until you find a place that does work.
