Our buddy Will Roegge tagged along w/ Rhys Millen and crew to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and shot this video short with Josh Herron. This video demonstrates why these guys are two of the top guys in the business.

Probably some cut slicks or something along those lines. Who knows may not even be Toyo Tires just like that car runs a nissan motor

Class rules for Time Attack dictated tires with a treadwear over 140, just like Formula Drift rules. PPIHC does allow for grooving tires and I can confirm that his tires had extra cuts in them to aid with traction on the dirt.
