awasome find !! one hell of a driver , ive been watching a lot of his videos .

 

too bad he is more of a showman than actually winning rallies. you should see how loeb drives, boring but fastest. wished he was driving a mitsu.

 

The sideways drift at the 3:18 mark was amazing. He started getting the car sideways easily about 150 ft from the turn....

I think that by now he completely lost the seat. Plus he was never the "need to have" driver for the teams. His driving style although favoured by the fans makes him slower and Malcolm Wilson needs a clean driver to take out Loeb.

 

Gigi should just move over to IRC, that were most of the action is anyway and a bigger variety of cars. Showmen bring people to rallies.

 

Glad someone else sees this. Kicking the back end out 150ft before turn-in is not the fastest way to drive by any means.

you guys can cry me a river about fast and this and that. the fact is where Loeb drives WRC is dying...
A way Gigi drives is entertaining and brings people to the road side.

You are not out there to see the car for a split second... You are there to be entertained and be fast at a same time. And he is fast.
Not as fast as Loeb? Yes he is not. But that is not a point at all.

You guys sounds like a "fox and the grapes" from Jean de La Fontaine...

Everyone has a different opinion on what makes the best rally drivers. Personality goes a long way for me, they don't have to win the most to be my favorites. Look at Marko Martin, not the fastest but had a sense of humbleness that I always found more appealing than Loeb's snobbishness or Solberg's unfounded cockiness. Gali puts on a good show, oh and he is extremely fast when he isn't crashing a car LOL. If you like Petter Solberg I'm not sure how you can dislike Gali, same kind of persona.
