To make a point closer to home, and way off topic. Look at the guys that ran the Mighty Max in Rally NY and BRS for years (I forgot their names). The fans loved them, alot of which was do to the fact they always put on a good show and the truck was always bent way over the limits of adhesion. They weren't fastest but they were great fun to watch.

Agreed. He is truly an excellent yet entertaining driver...
He has skills... but you bet your booties if he wanted to put
the pedal to the metal and be fast, he can do that, too.

He either chooses to drive like that, or was told to by the team (!) .
