i think we have it rectified.... finishing some ducting today i hope... new clutch is back in.... and new shifter bushings and our 20w-60 motul 300v endurance oil... (we had amsoil fluids for it for this past year in the trans, which im keeping, but switching to amsoil engine oil)

170ish on summit main!?!!?!!? I've gotta see that. At 300ishwph the highest I could get before jamming the clampers was 143! 170ish?! Wow. That's like top of 5th gear type of fast. What HP?

525whp on our mustang dyno at 27.8 psi on 93 octane..

now we have a slightly different billet compressor wheel, a new intake manifold, and will retune on some higher octane fuel so even a bit more, with quicker spool up i hope!

cheers

I think 170 might be optimistic. I think AMS needed the VIR back straight to hit 170, which is much longer than Summit's straight. with a car that trapped 138 in the 1/4. I hit 146 with 350 whp at VIR.

honki24, what do you hit at VIR?

Why not 170ish? We _are_ talking about a fully prepped race car driven by a pro. Just the corner exit speed alone should be significantly higher than your average DIY racer/racecar.

Ya gotta know Summit Point - who really knows until they get out there??

I'm there this weekend with NASA - I come in at about 145mph into Turn #1. Gotta admit, I let up quite a bit down that long straight - some of those V8's & I6's are coming down there in 3rd and 4th gear , wish I could

lol yeah. I mean, yeah with 500hp and Hoosiers, maaaybe you could pull out another 30HP but I'd love to see that. On my 888s, and when I was at 350whp I'd easily better the pole TTA drivers (not to say I was competing with them) but 30mph more into T1 would feel like lightning. lol not that big a deal, he was probably just throwing out a number. I just think it would be nuts. I can't even imagine hitting 170 on the back stretch at VIR w/ 400whp... but maybe I've got a long ways to go still

Tear it up Troy. Represent for us. I won't be there this weekend. Just installed a new HG and need to preserve some fundage. Come down to VIR for OctoberFAST!! You, and Puck!

Oh yeah, if you see my student in the red X give him a hard time for me! He's a cool guy, name's Zach.

we hit over 125mph on the jefferson circuit, coming onto the straight in 3rd gear... or onto the front in 2nd, and its an 1100 foot straight..

ive gone around summit point in 1.11.80's in a 185hp open wheel car...

im fairly confident we will crack 165-170mph...

ill post a video when we do
