yeah i know. That is a famous corner, and people go there to watch accidents.
That is a long stage and this is a last end of it . with a loooong straight. You can hear it one car even came on the rev limiter
So they tend to not slow down enough. Also after the first cars its became a DUSTY left turn. So Basically you need to slow down even more. Not to mention , tire fatigue - brake fatigue is already exist etc.
Anyway its a great corner.

WRC NZ 2010 - Drivers are a bit upset ...
I was a bit upset as well not seeing him at the shakedown and it was funny to see gravel spec or tarmac.
That driver was so upset that he decided to go " Bunta style " ( if you have watched Initial D the anime
)
Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen has hit out at Rally New Zealand organisers for forcing teams to drive through peak-hour traffic to get to shakedown at the Auckland Domain.
The Finn blew his clutch as he tried to make his way to the domain from the service park on the Queens Wharf.
Hirvonen says at no other event on the WRC are they forced to drive through peak-hour traffic. He says it costs EU10,000 for his team to replace and he will not be footing the bill.
"I'm not going to pay that. I'm going to send the bill to the organisers."
Hirvonen says he was not able to get much out of the shakedown anyway, as the test session was on tarmac and it is a gravel rally.
Six-time defending champion Sebastien Loeb has joined his Ford rival in slamming Rally New Zealand organisers for having the shakedown testing in rush hour.
"It was the time where people were going to work. It's like you drive at nine o'clock in Paris, maybe the same problem."
Loeb agrees the shakedown test itself was of little use as it was on tarmac and drivers have had no test on gravel roads. "
