Evo 8 WRC car
WRC cars usually have right around 300bhp due to the mandatory intake restrictor (I think it's 34mm) they have to run. I believe they can make tons of torque, though. I seem to remember seeing 500+ ft.lbs. figures somewhere.
US ProRally cars have a larger restrictor and I think they make in the 400hp range.

You sure? I don't think that picture is from LA. Look in the background, you see a 2004 Lancer. Those weren't out yet.
Yes, it does look like a 7, but there are very big differences from it. I think this is something new and not the SCCA car that was shown last year.

The SCCA car had the Evo VIII bumper, so this is definitely the WRC model, they even have Kristian Sohlberg's name on it, and he is on the roster for Mitsu's 2004 WRC season. I suspect that they'll change the bumper before monte carlo to match the VIII, makes more sense from a marketing standpoint to have the car resemble the current model.
