Hans Device Were to BUY

I am in the market for a hans device right now and I have been noticing that they are a bit steep in the price range. Were have people been buying their hans-devices from and how much.

Thanks

HANS, like Hoosiers, are at a fixed price. There was a holiday sell for the sport version but that's gone now. Best bet is to get it from whomever supports your club/region.

I know saferacer.com carries them, they aren't cheap though. Finding a used one is probably your best bet if your looking to save some cash.

the device is expensive. I have a helmet with a hans attachment, but after looking at their prices, wow-steep.

When shopping, pay attention the actual model you are being quoted for.

The sport has been reduced in price by $50 since PRI and the Sport II has been introduced for stock car guys- at the old sport price.
Then most dealers will offer the sliding tether option, which is almost always stocked, and that costs $25 more.

Yes HANS does have strict MAP pricing- service is what should sway your descision.

It's on my list too - just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

If you instruct, kart, or do other motorsports where you may not have a 4/5/6pt harness, look into the Leatt Brace Moto R (the auto racing version). Works like a HANS, but it doesn't absolutely require belts. I use a HANS, Schroth HANS belts and a halo seat in my track car, but if I was to buy a neck brace tomorrow it would be a Leatt Brace. I've been out on track in cars with just factory belts and obviously my HANS is useless. I'd still like to protect my neck in those situations.

Get the new design where the shoulder part has a little tip both side.
Makes your life much easier. Also do not get the fixed. Stripes ones.

Thanks for the advice since I really dont want to spend the 700 bucks TWICE, but at the same time the thought of anything going wrong with the HP i have now is kind of scary so I think I am just going to bite the bullet on this one.

This. Less weight = driver comfort = better reactions.
